As always, Bradwell goes all out for Gala Week; with a wide variety of events, attractions, bars and stalls, there is sure to be something you'll love.
 
Join villagers and visitors for Street Fair Fun & Games for all the family. Wear the kids out with the bouncy castle and slide, mini race or junior fell race, children's sports or the range of family games & activities available on the field. Join in the fancy dress competition or settle down for a traditional Punch and Judy show. Enjoy live music and entertainment.
 
Team up for the 5 a side football or the quiz nights, enjoy a game of bingo and a nice supper or dance the night away at the disco and hog roast. Join in with Treasure Hunts or the Pool Competition. Challenge yourself by signing up for the fell race and reward yourself afterwards with a relaxing drink in one of Bradwell's cosy pubs.
 
concertNo Gala week would be complete without the duck race or the scarecrow competition, the firm favourites of the Hope Valley Carnivals!
 
There is always a mouth watering range of delicious food and drink. Barbecues and delicious hot sandwiches and with teas and tempting home make cake on sale, you'll also want be sure to pop into the church during the week.
 
Many of the gardens of Bradwell will be open to you for part of Gala Week and you can also view local arts and crafts and a variety of displays of the local children's work.
 
beer tentBlessing of the Wells Parade is normally accompanied by Castleton Silver Band. The procession takes place on the afternoon of the first Saturday of Gala Week and starts from St. Barnabas Church proceeding onto the Church Street Well, The Children's Well, Townend Well and finishing at Smalldale Well.
 
The Bradwell Gala week is normally held at the end of July or beginning of August. Gala Day is traditionally held on the Saturday before the first Monday of August, with the festivities running for the week preceding Gala Day.  Dedication of the well takes place at St Barnabas Church.
